Did the name change?

Yes, the name has been changed from CoplinkX to CrimeTracer in April 2023. The parent company name has also changed from ShotSpotter to SoundThinking.

Did anything else change?

Only the logo and some of the colors.

Does CrimeTracer function the same as CoplinkX?

Yes, everything functions exactly the same.

Do I need to retrain my team?

No, you shouldn’t have to. The navigation will remain the same. Only the name, the logo and some of the colors have changed.

Did the link to CoplinkX change?

There is new link https://crimetracer.soundthinking.com/app/ to go along with the new names, but the old link will still work. It will just redirect you to the new link which you can bookmark and use in the future.

What other changes are coming?

CrimeTracer will be integrating with the rest of the SoundThinking SafetyFirst platform. These integrations will be rolled out over the course of 2023-2024.
